I was using iron Manhole covers for my drinking water underground sumps. These metal ones are getting rusted within 2 years and the unwanted rust was getting deposited in to the water. so Initially I was thinking of getting stainless cover so that it won't rust.

Let me tell you that these drain cover were not required. Already cover was there. But they have decided to replace them with your modern looking drain cover.
